The Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI) is in full swing. The Maine Department of Education signed a contract with Apple Computer to supply 33,000 iBook wireless laptops for use by Maine's 7th and 8th grade students and another 3000 laptops for 7th and 8th grade teachers.
But this initiative is not just about hardware, it is about the new opportunities for learning that this equipment can help create in schools.
