A Proclamation of Association
The Maine Association for Middle Level Education is committed to the concept of quality education for early adolescents. We recognize the unique nature of this age group and state our intentions to meet the diverse needs of all students.
We welcome the opportunity to communicate with other educators, parents and community members concerning the educational program of these children. We recognize our students are involved in transition from childhood to adolescence and we endeavor to help schools and parents adapt to their changing needs. We are committed to facilitating and promoting the leadership of the middle level school.
The formation of the MAINE ASSOCIATION FOR MIDDLE LEVEL EDUCATION is evidence of our commitment to middle level education in Maine.
Be it known to all that on this day of October 13, 1987, we the undersigned pledge ourselves to this task.
