Bullying in Middle Schools

Both the victim and the bully need to be addressed equally.

Bullying is something that hurts both parties. The victim needs support but so does the bully. When dealing with both of them, or more, they should know that you are there for them and that you won't judge them. There's a problem behind every behavior and it's the problem that you're trying to get to, not the child. Never forget that they're children and that they're trying to learn what it's like to be an individual. In Middle School, especially, they are learning what it's like to be themselves. Everyone makes mistakes.
